the mild Greek climate gives us the opportunity to live comfortably outdoors, live under the open sky… that is why the inside and outside spaces should be of the same importance during the design process of a building… in such a design the classic dual notions like open – close, outside – inside, natural – artificial are integrated in an ambiguous way trying to organize a whole, an atmosphere and not just functional parts… the general arrangement of volume should correspond to the natural context in terms of topography, scale, orientation… for a house in a countryside, the material texture plays a significant role in the final representation of human intervention on the natural environment…
